Background

Au commencement (VF)

L’aventure commence sur la Station d'Absalom, la gigantesque station spatiale qui occupe l'ancienne orbite de la troisième planète du soleil disparue, Golarion. La station d'Absalom est le centre administratif et culturel des Mondes du Pacte, et sert aujourd'hui de foyer principal de l'humanité pour le système. Les joueurs doivent avoir un lien quelconque avec la Starfinder Society, soit en tant que nouveaux membres, soit en tant que candidats potentiels (tout du moins, les PJ devraient avoir une bonne raison de s'allier avec la Société) et sont venus à Absalom Station pour chercher du travail. Les PJ n'ont pas encore besoin de se connaître; Ils ont tous pris des dispositions pour rencontrer un Starfinder nain nommé Duravor Kreel à Docking Bay 94. Kreel a promis de leur présenter la station, de les aider à s'installer et de faciliter leur adhésion à la Starfinder Society. L'aventure suppose que les PJ sont tous les passagers de la navette Okimoro, qui vient d'arriver à la station d'Absalom, atterrissant au quai 94.

Au commencement (VO)

The Dead Suns Adventure Path starts on Absalom Station, the gigantic space station that occupies the former orbit of the sun’s now-vanished third planet, Golarion. Absalom Station is the administrative and cultural center of the Pact Worlds, and now serves as the system’s primary home of humanity. The player characters should have some sort of connection with the Starfinder Society, either as new members or as prospective applicants (at the very least, the PCs should have a good reason to ally themselves with the Society), and have come to Absalom Station to find work. The PCs don’t need to be acquainted with one another yet; they’ve all made arrangements to meet a dwarven Starfinder named Duravor Kreel in Docking Bay 94. Kreel has promised to show them around the station, help them get settled, and facilitate their membership into the Starfinder Society. The adventure assumes that the PCs are all passengers on the shuttle Okimoro, which has just arrived at Absalom Station, landing in Docking Bay 94.

STEP 8: BUY EQUIPMENT
At 1st level, your character has 1,000 credits to spend on armor,
weapons, and other supplies (though your GM may give you
alternative instructions for how to choose your gear). Armor
and weapons are often the most important—keep in mind that
your character’s class determines the types of weapons and
armor that she is proficient with. Your character’s weapon
determines the damage she can deal in combat, while armor
affects her Energy Armor Class (EAC) and Kinetic Armor Class
(KAC)—see Step 9 for more on Armor Class. Additionally, there
are other staples that can help your character during play. For
more on the equipment available and how much it costs, see
Chapter 7.
